At the 2011 Red Hat Partner Conference in Miami, Florida, Michael Byrd, Director of Red Hat Federal Channel, announced that August Schell was the recipient of the Red Hat Virtualization Partner of the Year award.

In presenting the award, Michael Byrd, Director of Red Hat Federal Channel announced that "August Schell's Red Hat sales team has sold more Red Hat Virtualization Technology than any other Red Hat Public Sector Reseller."

Accepting the award on behalf of August Schell were Bill Schell, President, and Michael Thorp, Manager of August Schell Reseller Operations.

August Schell is a reseller of multiple virtualization technologies including VMware, Red Hat, and Nicira.
