Bernard Sanders joins August Schell as Director of SmartCloud Engineering
Bernard Sanders has joined August Schell as the Director of SmartCloud Engineering where he will apply his deep Data Center Automation knowledge, combined with his Software Development leadership skills to lead the SmartCloud engineering efforts. The SmartCloud technology platform enables an IT enterprise to realize unparalleled "time-to-cloud" value by rapidly creating on-demand cloud services from existing servers while simultaneously leveraging current IT business, automation, and virtualization processes into an organizations cloud implementation within in a matter of days.
Mr. Sanders brings over 10 years of experience with large scale Data Center Automation. He has an industry reputation for helping both small and large IT organizations succeed with their Server Automation implementations. His areas of focus have been on OS Provisioning, Software Deployment, Hardware and Software discovery, plus integration with otherwise disjointed Data Center Automation systems.
Prior to joining August Schell, Mr. Sanders worked for Hewlett Packard where he provided core product development expertise for the HP Server Automation product. He also provided Consulting Engineering, Systems Engineering, Rapid Application Development, and Product Management. Prior to Hewlett Packard, Mr. Sanders worked for Loudcloud and Opsware both of which are companies formed by Marc Andreesen and Ben Horowitz of Netscape fame. Loudcloud and Opsware are largely credited with producing what is now considered the most sophisticated and powerful Data Center Automation systems in the industry. Prior to Loudcloud, Mr. Sanders sharpened his Software Development skills at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Mr. Sanders is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Illinois-Urbana.
