The UNIX/Sun Solaris SME will architect highly complex, global solutions. Additional duties will include installing and sustaining Solaris 10 and RedHat Linux 4 and 5 operating systems in a virtual environment using VMWare and ESX. Review cost analyses and vendor comparison to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations. Recommend vendor/approach and presents to senior management. Provide escalated, highly complex technical support to customers by investigating and resolving systems-related matters of significance. Plan, conduct and oversee the technical aspects of large, complex projects; coordinate the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. Review completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and provides management overview. Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

The ideal candidate will offer 9+ years of subject matter level experience sustaining Solaris 10, RedHat Linux and VMware Enterprise environments. BS degree and TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph required.
